Hi Elaine, Compared to what we have (19.11.11) the only difference is that we have not set branch code. What if you "expire" all your news and create a plain text news? or maybe just keep your last test new? I realize now the borrower number is mine, and that represents the author of the news item. Elaine VWML <https://vwml.org>

When I ran that report - it gave me all the OPAC news items. So they really are there, but not displaying for some reason. Question: Why is there a borrowernumber field on the far right? see screenshot here: https://photos.app.goo.gl/nGNbe1y61HvfJ9jP6 Elaine VWML <https://vwml.org>

Hi Elaine
What do you get if you create a report for news table? Something like:
select * from opac_news
Might give you a clue?

Alvaro

Well, that's interesting. I added another test news item, it still didn't display. I checked the log through the staff interface for the past 24 hours. The only thing that shows up are a bunch of cron jobs. I've CC'd our tech expert on this one.

Hum, just noticing something however. I did specify an expiration date from the UI, but it's not in the DB table. The "news" is not updated if I keep the "number" field blank. Did you make sure the changes were applied correctly?

Hi Elaine,
Do you see an error in the Koha log files?
I've tried with: idnew: 3 branchcode: NULL title: test content: test lang: OpacMainUserBlock_en timestamp: 2020-11-16 00:00:00 expirationdate: NULL number: 0 borrowernumber: 51
And I do see "test" on the OPAC home page. Tested on 20.05.05
Cheers, Jonathan
