Hi Layale, looking at the link you included, I think the itemtype descriptions were configured in Arabic, as they stay in Arabic when switching to English. This would be done under Administration > Itemtypes. In 3.22 there is a new feature to configure multiple translations for every itemtype. This means that it will show the itemtype description according to the selected translation. Bug 14100 - Add base to make item types, branch names, sysprefs values and authorised values translatable http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=14100 In earlier versions you could use jQuery in the OpacUserJs system preference to achieve a similar effect. if ($('html').attr('lang')=='ar-Arab') { ... } Hope this helps, Katrin Am 01.12.2015 um 10:06 schrieb Layale Bassil:
Hello Mr. Massoud,
We are using Koha 3.14 in Arabic, but when we enter to the Advanced Search (opac-search.pl) page, the list of item types is still in English. Where can I fix this issue and enter the translations of the item types? Which files should I edit. I checked the version you have: http://maktabat.mu.edu.sa/cgi-bin/koha/opac-search.pl and everything is perfectly translated to Arabic.
Thanks in advance, Regards.

AlayKum Assalam Jesse. Thank you for your email.
You are correct. We have implemented Arabic Koha 3.18 here ( http://maktabat.mu.edu.sa/) at Majmaa University, which is about 150km north of Riyadh.
My company, KnowledgeWare Technologies, is in charge of tthe ranslating task of Koha releases to Arabic. Here is a demo site of Arabic Koha integrated with EBSCO EDS: http://arkoha.maktabat-online.net/ .
We have also localized VuFind 2.5 to Arabic, which is a very powerful a discovery portal that provides metasearch or federated search to all sorts of data sources, including Koha ILS, DSpace IR, EDS/Summon eJournals as is demonstrated here: VuFind: http://arkoha.maktabat-online.net/vufind2/
I too did not make it to KohaCon15 this year in Nigeria. I was just responding to Mr. Brooke's nice email missing to see someone attending the conference from the Middle East, which is unfortunate for us.
Thanks, Massoud M. AlShareef,
Correct. This is Koha OPAC at Majamaa University

It looks great.
Just wanted to share. Glad you had a good time. Maybe I will be able to make it next year...

AsSalam Alay Kum Mr. Brooke,
In behalf of all of us in the Arabic Koha Community, I would like to thank you for looking forward to meet some of us personally during KohaCon 15 which was held in Nigeria this year. Apparently we have missed a lot by not not attending this great gathering and seeing your beautiful cities, Lagos and Ibadan. I am sure the reason behind some of us not being there at this conference is because of the lack of information on our part about your save and beautiful country.
I wish if possible to read more about this great Academic conference, and share with us some of the papers presented during KohaCon15 in Nigeria.
We look forward to meet you during the coming Koha conferences/ meetings, and to know you in person.
Thanks, Massoud M. AlShareef,

While doing a upgrade on our test koha instance (based on a copy of production), I received the following errors.:
- [Sat Oct 24 23:52:23 2015] updatedatabase.pl: C4::Installer::load_sql returned the following errors while attempting to load
/home/koha/koha-test/intranet/cgi-bin/installer/data/mysql/atomicupdate/hourlyloans.sql:
- [Sat Oct 24 23:52:23 2015] updatedatabase.pl: ERROR 1060 (42S21) at line 1: Duplicate column name 'lengthunit' - [Sat Oct 24 23:52:23 2015] updatedatabase.pl: C4::Installer::load_sql returned the following errors while attempting to load
/home/koha/koha-test/intranet/cgi-bin/installer/data/mysql/atomicupdate/oai_sets.sql:
- [Sat Oct 24 23:52:23 2015] updatedatabase.pl: ERROR 1062 (23000) at line 35: Duplicate entry 'OAI-PMH:AutoUpdateSets' for key 'PRIMARY'
I know from previous experience that these kinds of error are sometimes benign, but I would like some feedback on whether I need to take any kind of action in this particular case.
Thanks, -Doug-
