1) Are those custom patron attributes searchable via the the "Search patrons" searching option?
They are, if you configure them that way. However, it looks like patron attributes are only searched in the general/keyword type patron search. You are not provided with a specific search option for these like you are for Sort 1 and Sort 1.
2) What about the "Sort 1" & "Sort 2" options? Can be edited?
