Hi, Mark- We use pre-printed 13 digit barcodes from ID Label. They cost us about 2.8 cents apiece. For barcode scanners we have had good luck with the 3800G kit from SSE Technologies (http://www.ssetechnologies.com/). They cost about $175, but I can't speak to their longevity because we haven't used them that long. Diana On Sun, Dec 7, 2008 at 11:38 PM, Rosalie Blake <rosalie@library.org.nz> wrote:
Hi Mark Yes you can use Leigh Mardon codes, or the like. And all scanners are not created equal - you get what you pay for. They pretty much all do the job. The dearer ones do it better, longer (and possibly faster, in that you don't have to scan twice because it didn't catch the number the first time) Cheers Rosalie

Hello, We're a Senior High School considering Koha as our ILS. Are we able to use pre-printed barcodes from someone like Leigh Mardon, or do we have to print our own. Also, are all barcode readers created equal in the Koha world, or are some more equal than others?
