Excerpts from Alison C Graber's message of Tue Feb 09 08:21:48 +1300 2010:
Greetings,
I am just writing to introduce myself and my library. We are implementing Koha Express using LibLime's hosting service. We're interested in keeping up with and contributing to the Koha community.
Hi Alison Excellent, I encourage you to keep abreast of the latest news at http://koha-community.org/ And to make use of the mailing lists and irc channel.
I am working with the Education, Diversity, and Equity Library located in the School of Education at the University of Colorado at Boulder (CU-B) in the United States. This is a small specialized academic library that works independently from the University Libraries at CU-B. It's collection includes books and various curriculum materials and kits to support the students and faculty in the School of Education. I am functioning as a consultant to this library to help them implement their first integrated library system and OPAC. We started a week ago..so far so good. We hope to go live in a limited extent in a few months.
If you have any advice for us, feel free to share.
I'm not sure if you get command line access to the machine your Koha is hosted on. That is something I would certainly investigate, having shell access will make a myriad of maintenance tasks a lot easier. Welcome to the community. Chris
Thank you very much,
Alison Graber
