Actually, if I understand this question, it's one that I would also like to know the answer: Is there a way of overwriting a record already in the database (not in the MARC reservoir)? This would be a very nice function which could allow for the creation of "temporary" or "preliminary" records that could then be overwritten by another record downloaded from another library. Of course, we would need to retain acquisitions and circulation information. There could be various levels of control in this, too (e.g. overwrite certain fields but not others). is there away to update my database, I mean there's record that I delete and when i check my database deleted tables it shows that the data still exists,
You can edit the database with phpmyadmin or similar tools, but take a backup first in case it breaks.
is there anyway to update all the database, so that all the data in the past will be update too.
I'm not sure what you're asking for.
Hope that helps, -- MJ Ray - personal email, see http://mjr.towers.org.uk/email.html Work: http://www.ttllp.co.uk/ irc.oftc.net/slef Jabber/SIP ask
