I added in httpd.conf file

SetEnv mysql  "/usr/local/mysql/bin//mysql"

but with no results

Just to tidy this up We fixed this by symlinking /usr/local/mysql/bin/mysql to /usr/bin/mysql and then the installer completed fine Chris
