Hi everyone, Sounds like this is a perfect time to chime in. I'm brand-new to this community- my library is also preparing to migrate to Koha. I'm a fairly new sysadmin in general, and a total n00b with Koha, so you will probably be hearing some silly questions from me in the future as I learn the system. :) In the meantime, if anyone else has migrated from SirsiDynix Unicorn, (our current system) I would love to chat with you and hear any thoughts/advice/sage words of wisdom you might have. In any case, hello and nice to meet you to everyone, and I completely agree that the more chatter we have on the list, the better for everyone! -Jen Jen Tobias Technical Services and Special Collections Coordinator Naropa University Allen Ginsberg Library (303) 546-3505 jtobias@naropa.edu -----Original Message----- From: koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz [mailto:koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz] On Behalf Of Owen Leonard Sent: Thursday, December 04, 2008 9:39 AM To: koha@lists.katipo.co.nz Subject: Re: [Koha] user support?
Many are the actual programmers and tech people that are into the actual "innards" of programming and tweaking Koha.
...And for years there hasn't been enough of a community of Koha *users* to sustain a general-purpose list without the contributions of the core Koha developers. It would be great if this list could develop into a fully user-supported community. That will only happen if we add real-world Koha users to this conversation. The key is, as Brooke said, to jump in and ask questions! -- Owen -- Web Developer Athens County Public Libraries http://www.myacpl.org _______________________________________________ Koha mailing list Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha
