Actually this is a very common problem. We run into the same issue here, and unless we record the change in patron notes, we have no way to know the old number unless the patron recalls it. It would be great if the logs recorded these types of changes. ___________________________ Christopher Brannon IT Coordinator 702 E Front Ave Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814 (208)769-2315 Ext. 456 cbrannon@cdalibrary.org www.cdalibrary.org Keep tabs on us at: -----Original Message----- Date: Thu, 16 Jun 2016 14:21:13 -0400 From: Barton Chittenden <barton@bywatersolutions.com> To: Elisa Chandler <echandler@thebluemountains.ca> Cc: "koha@lists.katipo.co.nz" <koha@lists.katipo.co.nz> Subject: Re: [Koha] Finding patron's previous card number? If they are on a deleted account, you should be able to run a report on the deletedborrowers table. If they're on the current account, there's not much you can do. --Barton On Thu, Jun 16, 2016 at 10:36 AM, Elisa Chandler < echandler@thebluemountains.ca> wrote:
When we issue a replacement card the patron gets a new library card number. Sometimes we realize a day or two later that we have to merge their old and new card numbers in Overdrive, the e-book system. Does anyone know if there is way to retrieve a patron's previous card number?
Thanks!
