'return' is a reserved word in mysql5 which is not so for mysql5. You have to edit the file koha.mysql file found in the koha installation directory ( same directory where installer.pl file is found) and put keyword return in backticks like this `return` and proceed with the installation: perl inataller.pl It is always good to put all the fieldnames of the table definitions in back ticks.
