Tom, Until you can either update your Koha install to 3.6, or downgrade Firefox to below 7, you can disable the staff client Cart to restore logout. This is a known bug, I believe, and a fairly recent one: http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=6970
logout not redirecting to login page - Staff logout does not reload the login page. Seems to be an issue with Firefox 7.x since it works properly in 6.x and prior.
The encouraging thing is that the patch for the problem is attached to the bug and is in 3.6 (and will likely be picked back into a future 3.4 revision).
