Galen What are the proper steps to moving the data from one field to another in MarcEdit? I am using it now and has been a big help but my 953(852) info does seem to be listed in Koha after I do an import. I am not sure if I am doing the move right. Any help would be great! The easier way, in my opinion, is to edit the Koha-to-MARCmapping section. Koha is defaulted to 952 field for item data.
Not to bombard you with alternatives, but I would actually recommend that you use a tool like MarcEdit's global change feature to move the 949s to 952 fields, then import the records. While Brenden is correct that you can change the Koha to MARC mapping, that's not enough to get the item records indexed correctly. If you're using Zebra, you would have to edit records.abs.
