Hello,
I was wondering if it is possible to install Koha on a Windows Server 2008 R2 server?
It is possible, but definitely not recommended. Following something like this http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_3.2#Koha_3.2_on_Win32_w.2FStrawberr... might get you there in the end.
In a technical sense, it will perform a lot lot worse than on a non-legacy OS like Linux. I'm sure you already know the ethical arguments against it.
You are much better off running on Linux .. next best option is running Linux in a virtual machine on a windows host.
As the author of the above-mentioned wiki link, I want to +1 what Chris C. says. You will be *much* better off using Linux. Kind Regards, Chris
