We've set up a number of SP542 printers. Assuming similarities, there is an option in the Windows configuration to set various cut off and form feed options. Have you looked at that? We currently have ours set to "form feed/partial cut". You should have a number of combinations, including full cut and no cut. Since you can print OK with documents, I'm not sure this may solve your problem. Another thing to check is the margins if you are using Firefox. I am trying to set up a Star TSP600 receipt printer on Koha. The printers in this organisation are connected to the network rather than attached to a single PC. I can get an Koha issue receipt to print to the printer but the tape does not cut off.
If I print a word document the printer will cut off the tape as it should.
Does anyone know what instruction I need, or code in Koha, to get the printer to cut off the tape after the receipt?
