We have been provided a place where data on a Koha association/foundation/organization can be gathered, organized and commented on. (Thanks to those who set this up.) I'm only repeating what others have said--the Koha list and the IRC are not the best places to work out the issues surrounding the establishment of an organization. Effectively, I'm calling for an end to this discussion on the list particularly since it has not always been civil and/or productive.

Starting here
http://wiki.koha-community.org/wiki/Koha_Software_Foundation/Association
is a good place I think. It has links to the all the existing discussion on the wiki, and some of the options discussed before, all of which are of course still options.
I think that we all have the same goals here:
Establish a foundation/association/organization to oversee the Koha
assets
Gather all of the assets together
That's not actually true. Establishing a foundation/association is but one option on the table, this discussion should not assume that that is a fait accompili.
Ah, right. Sorry about that... There are other options. Thanks.
