Hi Tim, Cab Tim: there are two ways to get a record from the reservoir into the catalog. One is by loading it into the MARC editor, modifying it, and then saving it. The other is by importing via the Staging interface. A record can be stored in the reservoir either by 'Staging', i.e. uploading a MARC file, or by importing a record from a Z39.50 target. You can't edit a record and save it back to the reservoir; the reservoir will always hold the original unaltered record. So you should be able to modify a record after adding it to the reservoir by doing a Cataloging Search and loading it into the MARC editor. Cab: The search facility for the reservoir is quite limited; it assumes you pretty much know what you're looking for. The title search is right truncated, exact, even including what might normally be considered stop words. In the future, we'll probably index the reservoir with Zebra, but for now, you'll need the exact title or isbn to find the record. Hope that helps, Ryan On Tue, Jun 24, 2008 at 11:09 AM, Cab Vinton <bibliwho@gmail.com> wrote:
In fact, I'm wondering how to to even find the staged records :-)
I worked on an item a couple of weeks back & now can't remember any identifying information.
Any guidance on how to view items in the reservoir?
Thank you,
