Or, less drastically, simply incorporate the modules into the main scripts, or fork the modules so that they cannot be upgraded through cpan, and include the proper perl with koha. Make koha more monolithic, so that change is dependent on the koha developers only and the whole thing resides in /usr/koha or wherever. I'm sure this is impractical for some reason. I was wondering. Has anyone made a Koha distro yet? Ie a live/install cd that you could just put the CD into the drive and have koha work?
Cpan is koha's biggest downfall and while such a cd would not be easily upgraded, it would be good for those that struggle with Cpan and koha's installation
