[Koha] Can't Send Mail

Hi, I have been trying to send mails to the users with overdue materials, but i receive this message "Could not perform this operation because the default mail client is not properly installed". Yet i can send mail from a word document through my default mail on lotus, which works properly. Can someone help me in correcting this error.
