Coming to know that already few other institutions from India have applied to hold the KohaCon11, I withdraw our bid to hold the same in order for a unified bid from India. As I stated earlier also, my full support will be available for any proposals from India.

India has a very very large number of libraries but have limited understanding about open source software and their usage and applications in lilbraries. Holding such a prestigious conference will serve as an effective tool for such an event.
I am an active researcher on use of open source software in NCT region of Delhi and hence strongly feel need of such a conference in India.
