And what happens to those holds once they are cancelled? Will they trigger the next hold, if there is one, or transfer back home? One of the reasons we don't use this tool is that it is slow. Another is that it doesn't trigger to go home or to the next hold. For those reasons, we find no compelling reason to use it. We just check the item in, cancel the expired hold, and then check it in again to trigger any pending actions. This is much faster at this point. Whether it is batch or not, you have to process everything again to see if there are any pending actions. ___________________________ Christopher Brannon IT Coordinator 702 E Front Ave Coeur d'Alene, ID 83814 (208)769-2315 Ext. 456 cbrannon@cdalibrary.org www.cdalibrary.org Keep tabs on us at: Message: 13 Date: Wed, 10 Jul 2019 19:17:40 +0000 From: "Johnson, Barbara" <Barbara.Johnson@bedfordtx.gov> To: "koha@lists.katipo.co.nz" <koha@lists.katipo.co.nz> Subject: [Koha] Development to allow batch cancellation of selected holds Message-ID: <SN6PR09MB29599782D6834E3BBD408B4BE4F00@SN6PR09MB2959.namprd09.prod.outlook.com> Content-Type: text/plain; charset="us-ascii" Our staff would like the option to cancel only selected items on the Holds Over tab in the Holds awaiting pickup table. Staff could select the group of holds they want to cancel and do it as a batch. The development would add a checkbox next to each item, along with a 'Cancel Selected' button next to the 'Cancel All' button, with a confirmation. Bywater has provided a quote of $2,000 for this development. If we could get 10 interested libraries it would only be $200 per library. I would love to know if you are interested in this type of functionality and if you desire to help fund any portion of it.
