Dear All
Can someone suggest me some readings or manual describing the step-by-step procedure for defining RAID 5 on Debian Lenny for Koha installation?
Because RAID provides an abstraction layer over the real storage hardware, your setup for it shouldn't necessarily change your Koha installation procedure or vice versa. Any instructions that work for RAID setup on your hardware should be fine. Basically, you make RAID work and Debian happy on it, then install Koha normally. Keep in mind that RAID 5 isn't great for data that changes frequently in small increments, such as a Koha system or other transaction intensive database. You may see lower performance speed overall compared to other options like simple mirroring (RAID 1). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Standard_RAID_levels#RAID_5_performance -- Greg Barniskis, Computer Systems Integrator South Central Library System (SCLS) Library Interchange Network (LINK) <gregb at scls.lib.wi.us>, (608) 242-4716
