I am wondering the same thing. The leader shows a length of 00000 which would mean the marc record is 0 bytes long. I wonder if this is why the records are not being recognized/parsed by Koha. On Wed, May 17, 2017 at 1:53 PM, Indranil Das Gupta <indradg@gmail.com> wrote:

Hello,
I am trying to import some very simple MARC records into Koha 16.11. Here are the first two records:
=LDR 00000nam 2200000Ia 45e0 =008 170517s9999\\\\xx\\\\\\\\\\\\000\0\und\d =100 \\$aErica James =245 \0$aPrecious Time =952 \\$p100$yAF$d12/17/2015$aFROGL$bFROGL
Koha expects your Item type to be defined in two different places (for 2 diff purpose) - (a) 942$c and (b) 952$y
As for your error, this is just a hunch - what does it show if you try to validate your marc records *inside* MarcEdit using the Marc validator function?
regards idg
