Hello Katrin, thank you for clearing that up. I thought this might be the case when I tried to find out where the language-specific template files come from. Is that documented somewhere for "normal people" (those not working on the translation files ;) to find? Somehow my intuition was to install the languages by hand once and Koha would do the rest when we update. Updating ~8 or more languages manually after every update does not seem very appealing. On the other hand this seems to be neccessary anyway if we customise our XSLT files. Where in the 'translate'-related code would I have to look for the process of combining the English original files with the resp. translations? Maybe I could add local patches at this point, too. Hi,
reading about your problems I wonder if your template files are up to date?
After updating Koha you have to make sure that your template files for other languages than English are updated too. To update you can run the "perl translate install <language-code>" command again. You might want to download updated po-files from translate.koha-community.org before running the command.
I think the only time you don't have to do this is when using the big tar file where all translated templates are already included.

We are facing the same problem with Arabic Koha. We think it occurs when ICU is enabled.

The latest release, 3.2.5, includes the revision. Please note that it doesn't include what you're looking for: online availability information is not displayed. It simply mimics more closely the standard search results screen.

Hello,
I am new to KOHA, using it in a very small rural school (valentineisd.com) in the high desert mountains of Southwest Texas, USA.
I have a problem with printing barcodes and need some help please.
I cannot get the call number to print on the barcodes and many times when I go to print the barcodes I export to a pdf file and then when I try to open it the following comment is made "there was an error opening this document. The file is damaged and could not be reapired." I have tried running barcodes on three different computers and three different printers and I get the same results. Any ideas as to what I am doing wrong in both of these cases? Thank you in advance.

Hi Margaret,

Hello,

Its always nice to hear of another library using Koha! Welcome to the community.

Please open one of the PDF's in a plain text editor (Notepad should work if you are using Windows). If you look over the contents, you will most likely find an error message. Post that message back here.

Dear list,
as stated in the subject: when I search in the OPAC, in the results page I get "Availability: Copies available for loan:" etc. -- but only if the OPAC language is English. If it's German, Turkish, Spanish, Polish or Russian, I get "No copies available" (in the resp. language) [if it's French i get "Erreur 500"].
Is that a known problem? Does it work as it should for others? Did I do something wrong with the translation files? (I do not really remember how i installed them, I had to do it manually I think). I'm on Koha 3.2.5 using the Debian-packages on Squeeze, OPACXSLTResultsDisplay is on.
Any help is appreciated,
Mirko
