Would not that then require some attempt to follow ubuntu/debian's file system rules? (ie, make it definitely different to all other Kohas) I suppose that's only the case if it wanted to get into the distribution.
Yes, I want it in the debian distribution, so there's an installation method (called standard, IIRC) which will follow the File Hierarchy Standard when it works. My koha.git tree has a branch called "debianised" but I've not worked on it in a fairly long time due to paid work taking priority.
