Dear all! I hope you ok. I have two issues and I hope one off you may heve an idea how to do it.
I have koha installed in my university and is working fine now I would like to backup all the data from AdLib and restore on koha installed already.I need any idea how to do this. Backup from AdLib it is done already the problem now is how to restore in koha!
I do not know Adlib. If it has exported a MARC file with embedded items, you can take that to a tool such as MarcEdit (not free, but free to download) and re-arrange the items tag to the fields required by Koha. You may find that the items are in tag 852 in which case you'll need to move them to tag 952 for Koha. The sub-field codes for Koha are found from the Administration menu: Koha to MARC Mapping; drop down the Items list.
If Adlib has not exported MARC you'll need to get your data into csv format and build MARC from that. MarcEdit can also help there or there are other tools.
Second I have dspace 1.8 installed and working fine I would like to know
the easy way how to backup and restore;I also like to know how to upgrade to the latest dspace without loosing the data. Any help please.
That question is probably best directed to a DSpace mailing list. That's a very old version of DSpace, by the way.
I hope this helps. Bob Birchall Calyx _______________________________________________ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz https://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha
