I recently backported these jQuery and jQuery UI updates to an older version of Koha (for reasons), and it worked very well. I thought it would be scary but jQuery Migrate really makes the upgrade a breeze. If I may make a request, I'd love to see Bug 29155 make it in: Upgrade jquery version. This patches some known vulnerabilities in the jQuery version we have in the OPAC and staff client.
