I have a database of 25000 books in SOUL 1.0.I want to import them in KOHA.please inform me the process step by step.
0/ export the records from SOUL v1 as CCF 1/ process the CCF by importing it into WinISIS 2/ export as marc from winisis 3/ clean up / correct / modify using MarcEdit 4/ load up into Koha and ensure the zebra indices are reindexed If you are a programmer, you could also bypass steps 1 and 2, and instead write your own script to parse CCF and output into a Marc Breaker format. rest would remain same. And btw, Koha is not an acronym. So it is always "Koha" and not "KOHA" :-) cheers -- Indranil Das Gupta L2C2 Technologies Phone : +91-98300-20971 Blog : http://indradg.randomink.org/blog IRC : indradg on irc://irc.freenode.net Twitter : indradg -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Please exchange editable Office documents only in ODF Format.
