Hi Akia Koha is a library system; therefore you can consider it a "specialized" document management system. Even though it is designed for libraries use, you can configure it to manage any type of documents or other items. There are libraries that manage tools, videos, CDs, small appliances, etc. with koha. As is open source you can even take the code and modify it to your needs.
