Is it difficult to upgrade? What is the best way to back up Koha to ensure that 3.0 will take the Marc files? We like the features of 3.0 and are thinking of moving up.
There are some instructions for upgrading on the wiki, but they don't seem to be aimed at less-than-expert users: http://wiki.koha.org/doku.php?id=22_to_30 Everything is stored in MySQL, so backing up the database should be enough to safeguard your data.
