Thanks Kyle for your great help. I really appreciate. I have changed the template. However there is an other problem. In npl template (Koha Intranet interface) the MARC View of a catalog/ biblio record is ok. I mean all details are visible on a single page. But in default template, that I want to use, MARC View (Complete View) does not show all details in a single page. I have to click 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and Items buttons one by one to get the details of biblio record. How can I solve this issue. Thanking you in anticipation for any sort of help and guidance. Which version of Koha are you using? The NPL templates are already in all of them, the CCFLS templates are in rel_2_2 and dev_week. Just go to Parameteres -> System Preferences , Click the Intranet tab and you will see a variable called template. Click the edit link and you will be able to choose which intranet template set to use. Changing the OPAC template set is a similar procedure.

The first place I would start if I were you would be the css files. If you just want to customize colors, the css files are the place to go. They will let you modify quite a bit without actually editing the template files.
Other than that, I would just look at a few template files and figure out exactly what they are doing. That is how I began to create a an intranet template set for the CCFLS. At first I tried to work with the Default template set, which is practically all css based, but found that the NPL template set fit my paradigm much better. If you look at the CCFLS intranet template set, you will find that even though visually it is quite different from the NPL set, the essential parts are identical.
