Greetings, your matching is very similar to the one I have one for OCLC. Mine is: Threshold - 1000 Search index: ocm Score: 1000 Tag: 035 Subfield: a Offset: 0 Length: 0 The main difference is Tag and Length. MARC tag 035 is for OCLC and 020 is for ISBN. The manual does say that length is for the "numeric value representing the number of characters/bytes to match in the string" and while I've loaded only a small number of records - touch wood - overlaying brief records has worked fine. I did add match points to both ISSN (MARC 022) and ISBN (020) with title march (245) as some records share an ISBN or ISSN. I did not add a match point to OCLC Number as they are unique. I hope this helps, Rachel Hollis, librarian Stevens-Henager College, Boise Idaho Campus From: koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz [mailto:koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz] On Behalf Of Kohn, Karen Sent: Wednesday, January 07, 2009 11:53 AM To: koha@lists.katipo.co.nz Subject: [Koha] record matching rules I sent this before the holidays and didn't get any responses. I'm hoping more people are following the listserv now than were in December, and maybe I'll get a response this time. Thanks. Hello, Could someone help me get the record matching rules set up? I can't find instructions in the documentation, and the ones that are in there already don't seem to work. We usually use the OCLC accession number as match points, so I tried this (basically a guess): Description - OCLC control number Threshold - 1000 Search index: o Score: 1000 Tag: 020 Subfield: a Offset: 0 Length: 9 I also tried making the offset "ocm" since that is the prefix before the OCLC number, which is 9 digits. These were total guesses, but I wanted to at least show you what I'd tried! Thanks. Karen Kohn Collection Development Manager Landman Library Arcadia University 450 S.
