Hello Elizabeth, We use a wide variety of scanners in Horowhenua Library (New Zealand) with Koha, from pretty cheap ones to quite expensive ones. They all work with an absolute minimum of setting up. My experience is you get what you pay for. If your issue station is not under heavy load, a cheap scanner will do the job fine. If you have a busy station, get the best you can afford - it will work in worse light, through plastic, read faster and be a joy forever. Hello...We are just beginning to explore installing Koha as our ILS. (Currently we have none.) We are running a Linux network, affiliated with the K12LTSP project (www.k12ltsp.org). I'm wondering about bar code scanners and bar codes. Are there any scanners that you know work with Koha? We want to buy the most economical obviously, but want it to work, and most of them appear to be plug and play. Any suggestions? Thanks...
