[Koha] Patron Import Tool not working on Koha 3 Beta?

On Koha 3 alpha (Debian Etch), I was able to use the Patron Import tool available via the Staff Client Tools page, successfully importing hundreds of patron records from a CSV file. I've tried the same thing on the beta: it tells me it was successful, but when I search the patron records, none are there except the ones I've entered manually. Am I missing something?
