Hi Bernardo, I seen this large patch (Bug 11944) I wonder when will push. I tried to apply but does'n work for me. Maybe somewhere made a mistake I will try to continue. Yes I confirm it works on http://catalogue.test6.biblibre.com/ and http://catalogue.test16.biblibre.com/ even with Chinese characters and Arabic - think that with all characters. Yes, you are right, problem is present. I misunderstood the steps to reproduce.
But good news! Seems that is one of the problems solved by Bug 11944 :)
Can you try on one of the sandboxes with that branch? One of http://catalogue.test6.biblibre.com/ or http://catalogue.test16.biblibre.com/
I tried and seems to work, not only with diacritics (ä â etc.) but other chars as well (λ خو)
