On a similar issue, we have a couple of weekly titles with continuous numbering where the volume will rollover on the 1st of January and 1st July - the number of issues in each volume depends on what day of the week Christmas/new year falls etc but the rollover is always the next Friday after 1 January & 1 July so being able to specify a date for rollover would be very useful. I also have one journal I am checking in just now with a pattern that says published 20 times a year - twice monthly except monthly in July, August, December and January. I can't see how to record this in the serials prediction so that the expected published dates are calculated correctly. I have it down as irregular at the moment Jeremy -----Original Message----- From: Koha [mailto:koha-bounces@lists.katipo.co.nz] On Behalf Of Julian Maurice Sent: 19 August 2014 12:18 To: koha@lists.katipo.co.nz Subject: Re: [Koha] Serial Pattern Assistance (Results to be published in the manual) Le 19/08/2014 13:10, Gaetan Boisson a écrit :
Set up a bi-monthly frequency (two issues per month) if you don't already have one. (This means koha will generate two issues for July, and both will have the 1st of July as their planned published date. If you set it up so that it's once every two weeks, it will gradually shift and wouldn't fit the twice a month schedule, since you would have 26 issues a year instead of 24. That's a limitation i don't know how to work around for now. I guess you are not surprised to read this, but the fact the date will be the first of the month for both issues is confusing a lot of users.)
This will be fixed with Bug 12671 (http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=12671) -- Julian Maurice <julian.maurice@biblibre.com> BibLibre _______________________________________________ Koha mailing list http://koha-community.org Koha@lists.katipo.co.nz http://lists.katipo.co.nz/mailman/listinfo/koha
