That's interesting... I don't seem to have that behaviour on mine with either Default or NPL templates. One change I did make was to edit the 952p subfield and remove the barcode.pl plugin because my barcodes are pre-printed. In the 'edit items' page (additem.pl) I'm attempting to add and item but the field 'p - Barcode*' is grey'd out and I can not enter any information and it's a required field.
