Hey all,
When I do a search in OPAC, (Koha 3.08) I can get results if I have "Library Catalog" selected, but the same search returns no results if I search on 'Title', 'Author', or any of the other options in the pull-down. Does this mean Koha is finding the MARC record but not the holdings? If I select one of the results from the "Library Catalog" search, there is a tab at the bottom that says "Holdings (1)" and has presumably correct data. Any big-picture information on the relationship between the MARC records, the holdings data, and how Zebra does its indexing would be most helpful. Thanks,
Joel Ewy

You can upgrade the Koha by following the instructions in

I would recommend trying to move away from a tarball install, if you are using a Debian-based OS (Debian, Ubuntu, Mint, etc.)

Packages really simplify the upgrading process drastically.

So is there a solution?
yes :)
Koha works great for shared hosts where you are able to install or compile your own software...
Many people use shared hosts from Linode or Digital Ocean, to run Koha

Hi everyone,
Recently we subscribed to the Library of Congress CLASSIFICATION WEB service, but we couldn't figure out how to connect it to KOHA to be able to download the MARC records, if anyone knows about it, please help us to make the proper settings for it.
Also is this service different from connecting KOHA to the Library of Congress free service using Z39.50?
Thanks & Best Regards,
Mohammed Nashbat Academic Resource Librarian Alfaisal University

Hello Joann,
I'm Jamie LaRue from Colorado, USA (formerly of Douglas County Libraries), and Ross Balharrie recommended that I talk with you.
Colorado is working on a statewide ebook content management platform. That's well underway, but we've hit a snag in our attempts to integrate the product with a Koha-based consortium. The administrator of that system don't have a lot of experience with APIs. It's probably too late for us to find a magic solution to accomplish this by the time our grant is up, but I wonder if you might have some suggestions for programmers who do have that expertise? This is the perfect prototype for an international cooperation, and Koha is very definitely picking up speed here.
I'd appreciate any leads you might provide. Thanks!
