Dear Koha Folks: At our school, we are using Koha version 1.2.3 , with Debian. Recently it was time for me to do the summer upgrades, and I somehow "broke" the Koha server. The Firefox browser loads the first KOHA splash screen, but then gives an error and stops. I am able to access the MYSQL database OK from the command line and from Webmin. It seems that Koha can no longer talk to MYSQL. I checked the error logs and found the following which seems to give a good clue regarding line 67. However, I am not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated......... _My OPAC-error_log says:_ Can't connect to MySQL server on '192.168.0.5' (111) at /usr/local/koha/intranet/modules/C4/Database.pm line 67 _Line 67 says:_ my $dbh=DBI->connect("DBI:mysql:$database:$hostname",$user,$pass); _It also says:_ Can't call method "prepare" on an undefined value at /usr/local/koha/intranet/modules/C4/Output.pm line 183, <KC> line 20.
