[Koha] Problem with Barcode Generator

I have set the "autoBarcode" option in the "Cataloging preferences" to "incremental EAN-13 barcodes". In the corresponding UNIMARC subfield I'm using the "barcode.pl" Plugin. When I add an item, though, and I try to create a barcode, instead of a 13-digit number, I get a single number.
