I suspect one of the hardest things will be to get the data from FileMaker into Koha as a MARC record.??? You indicate more of a document management system... Is this a library where you are going to track documents and check them out or you want to digitize things and use 856 links pointing to them. Seems like there was another module that HLT was developing to link to Koha for this as well?? I can't remember the name of that. Reed Wade wrote:
The best way to find out is make an experiment -- give your team one full day and see how far they get.
At that point they and you will have a much better idea than anything someone outside your group could speculate on.

Hello –
Our small firm (20 staff and various consultants) is looking at implementing Koha for our document/information management and I’ve been lurking on the list for a while to gauge what folks are encountering. One question I have – via our CEO – is how much did implementation of Koha cost in hours, tech support, and migration? We would be migrating from FileMaker and have a small IT support team that is very capable and versed in everything I’ve thrown at them so far. J
Does anyone have a sense of how much time and resources went into their implementation of Koha?
In gratitude,
EV VanderWeil, PhD
