[Koha] Problem importing MARC records into Koha

Hello,

I am trying to import some very simple MARC records into Koha 16.11. Here
are the first two records:

(FROGL is my library code.) Having compiled this to a .mrc file using
MarcEdit I have tried to import it using the "Stage Marc Records for
Import" tool. This tool reports:

MARC staging results :
Processing bibliographic records
2373 records in file
0 records not staged because of MARC error
2373 records staged
Did not check for matches with existing records in catalog
2373 item records found and staged

All seems OK so far, but when I then run the "Manage Staged Marc Records"
tool it tells me that 0 records and 0 items have been staged, and no
records are displayed.

I am pretty new to Koha and would appreciate some suggestions on what the
problem might be, to save further damage to my head (and the brick wall ...)
