Vista is more than capable of speaking https/ssl.
But you should be aware that Vista reached it's formal end of life about
two months ago (April 11, 2017). That means Microsoft no longer publishes
any patches for Vista... not even critical security updates. It's dangerous
and irresponsible to continue using Vista in any networked capacity.
