You would need to see what it actually is that's causing your high CPU.
Just adding some JS wouldn't do it.

Tools like 'sar' and 'top' and 'htop' help get some basic introspection
into this, also looking at your apache access logs to see where a
particularly large amount of requests might be coming from.
