Subject: problems with the holdings and mysql database

Dear friends,

We have experienced a very strange problem with koha 3.8. We have imported 100000 records with their holdings (they were exported from the Aleph and processed with the MarcEdit to comply with the Koha's holdings' standard) and indexed them successfully. Everything was working fine but suddenly the items became unavailable. Although being physically attached to the record they were not shown in the search results.

I have decided to reboot the server and after that koha refused to work at all. The problem was that the mysql server was not running. I have tried to do it manually but nonetheless the service failed to work. Fortunately, I have backed up the initial mysql database (without any records) so I have simply restored it back and everything started to work. Interestingly, the zebra index with 100000 records was still active and when I searched for a record several records were retrieved. Surprisingly, all items were shown.

2 items, 2 available:
	* Fundamental Scientific Library [PII/539097] (1)
Books
	* Fundamental Scientific Library [PII/545962] (1)
Books

So, I suspect that the items were not shown due to a problem with the mysql. I have no clue what we have done wrong. Maybe something is incorrect with the imported records, or the mysql server was not properly installed? Anyway, I am attaching a sample record below.

When surfing the web for similar problems, I have encountered this discussion. But the final solution is unclear. So, is there anyone who had a similar problem, or can anyone suggest a solution to this problem? Please, take into account that this is a very serious issue for us.

Thanks in advance,
Haik.
