That looks like a problem with the encoding that is set up for the
Z39.50 target. I recently figured out that that was the reason
Norwegian Z39.50 targets were giving me "weird" chars for æøå. See
these bugs:

Bug 9497 - Make it easier to add to the the list of possible encodings
for Z39.50 servers and add ISO 8859-1
http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9497

Bug 9536 - Make it still easier to add to the the list of possible
encodings for Z39.50 servers
http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9536

Bug 9498 - Update encoding for Norwegian sample Z39.50 servers
http://bugs.koha-community.org/bugzilla3/show_bug.cgi?id=9498
