That error means that it took too long to process the upload and the
gateway server (not a required part of a Koha installation) gave up
waiting.  The error is specific to your webserver's configuration, so
you probably need to ask the webserver sysadmin to change settings to
fix it.

As a workaround, could you break the CSV file into smaller parts?
