During the import process, your biblio records are converted into UTF-8 encoding. That's the reason why 01 is transformed into 50. This is required. Otherwise, biblio records parsing inside Koha would fail. The transformation of 'ita' into 'fre' is not required. Koha could be modified to leave this 100 tag part unchanged. Take a look at C4/Charset.pm module: if you fix that you should submit a patch to the community. For tag length truncation, I have no idea...

Hi Chris,
I have run the commands you mention:
misc/maintenance/remove_items_from_biblioitems.pl --run
misc/migration_tools/rebuild_zebra.pl -b -r
And Zebra is running. I think the issue is that the two servers are
different types of machines. One is an old P3 Dell and the other is a G5
Mac. This morning I copied an older version of the koha database from the
Dell on to the Dell, which cleared out the initial copy that was from the
Mac. Everything is working fine, it's just not my latest copy.
Does that make sense?

Goodmorning
Can anyone direct me to instructions on how to batch delete biblio records.
I managed to batch delete the items attached to the records and now I need
to delete the records themselves, but I really don't want to do this one at
a time for over 1100 records. ?Or have I misunderstood the process
entirely.
Best wishes
