Have you added it to your /etc/hosts file? A line such as:

192.168.3.3 s1.server1.bz

That should work for LAN use so long as you have something in your ifcfg like:

NETWORK=192.168.3.0
NETMASK=255.255.255.0
IPADDR=192.168.3.3

You can modify the setup when you "go public".
