[Koha] barcodes not visible in OPAC

We were on 3.2 before the upgrade.
It's not something I noticed myself, but then I don't use the OPAC.
My boss says they were there (and he doesn't use the staff interface).
 We haven't customized Koha. We don't allow holds, so it would not
have been in the holds context.
