This is a good point. And I think once the vote is done for 2011 we
should open it up to 2012 pretty soon after.  Conferences need time to
plan and the sooner a group knows that they're hosting it the better
for them and for all of us.  I'm actually planning the 2012 SLA Annual
conference already - we started 4 months ago! So conferences do get
planned very very early on.
